We've made some friends here at the NICU - preemie parents. They've been here for 3-4 months. Yes. Three to four months. Preemie culture is intense, and the medical problems that preemies face day to day, week to week, month to month can be staggering. It makes Ellis' issues look like a walk in the park.
I guess we're putting this out there so that you guys might send your beautiful thoughts and prayers in the direction of two babies in particular - Chelsea and Gabrielle (we'll keep everything else anonymous). One of the babies has had an infection and the other is due for intestinal surgery next week. Scary stuff.
